The two most common primary memory devices are Read-Only Memory (ROM) and Random Access Memory (RAM). Primary memory is the default memory in each computer and can be accessed quickly. Computers have two types of memory, Primary and Secondary. Memory is where the computer stores data. It’s important to have an understanding of these parts so you can predict how your programs will interact with each. You have probably interacted with each of these things without even knowing it! All of these different things are completed using the three major parts of the computer, the CPU, Memory, and Input/Output Devices. Computers are capable of anything from performing just basic calculations to running complex, dynamic software.
